Subject: Symptom Recall

I have a symptom if anyone can recall hearing it.
I think it may be related to Alzheimers.
They have shown if one reacts opposite / paradoxically to caffiene ..
IE: coffee will knock a person out .. means they are prone to
alzheimers.
The symptom I need to recall is .. "resting heart rate of 140
heartbeats per minute".
Person was involved in a motor vehicle accident possible TBI and / or
nerve damage and / or PTSD and / or possibly hangman's fracture.
Common stress will set him into what might be considered a panic
attack as described above. Heartrate 140bpm.
WHY would a .. fresh black strong coffee .. lower his heart rate to
normal in five minutes?
WHAT of the above patients problems could be associated with this
paradox .. caffiene LOWERING heart rate .. ?
He also has extreme fatigue upon exertion and what might almost be
considered to be narcolepsy in that he collapses in extreme fatigue
when stress seems to peak.
Any thoughts .. ?
